3rd Parkes Cubs are being visited by 1st East Roseville Cub Scouts from Sydney.
ONLY PARKES CUBS, LEADERS AND REGISTERED ADULT HELPERS CAN ATTEND THIS ACTIVITY, East Roseville Completing own Event registration
Cost: $45 per cub (Break down: $14 Peak Hill, $11 Dish, $20 food) cash to leader by 10/9/26,
Note closing date of this activity is Thursday 4/9/26
Both Units will be camping in tents at the back of the Scout Hall (No Sleeping allowed in the Parkes Scout Hall at present, unit Fire Safety statements are arrange with Parkes Shire, Chubb Fire and Scout NSW - 3rd Parkes Group)
Parkes Cub Parents are to hand Hathie any personal medications for their youth member, clearly labelled with Name and written instructions of Medications, times etc.,
Cubs Scouts are to bring with them their Full Uniform, for wearing to the Dish and Peak Hill Open Cut mine on the Saturday along with Wide brimmed hat and 1 litre water bottle
Parents are to ensure they are available to pickup their child during the weekend in case of illness or other.
The planned details for the Dish Camp for the 3rd Parkes Cubs (1st East Roseville are arranging a mini bus, bringing their own tents and arranging the menu- they will organise a woolies click and collect for supplies).
Friday Sep 11 5pm- Arrive at Hall for set up and dinner: set up tents cook a simple meal - Natalie as Adult helper
6 pm- ETA 1st East Roseville, assist with set up, make welcome
830pm- Supper and lights out
Saturday Sep 12 - 7am wake up
8am- BBQ Breakfast
9 am - Opening Parade followed by packing morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea
930- Leave for the Dish (I have enough room in my car for all Parkes Cubs or Natalie has offered to drive if help required)
10am- Arrive at Dish- 3D movie, Scavenger hunt, morning tea and Lunch
Approx 1200- Muster and leave for Peak Hill Mine Experience
1300- Meet Peak Hill Open Cut Mine tour guide
Approx 1430- Afternoon tea and then muster for return to Hall
1500-1700 - Down time at the Hall
1700- Dinner
1800- Movie in the Hall (probably Wall-E) and campfire supper
2030- Lights out
Sunday Sep 13- 7am Wake up
8 am- Pancake Breakfast
9am- Camp break down and clean up
Approx 10am - Closing Parade and Goodbyes (I will ask Natalie to be here before other leaders leave)
11 am - Parent pick up
All Cubs are to bring camping equipment , similar to attached Scout personal equipment list
Note Cubs are sleeping in 4 Man Dome Tents (fit 3 with Gear) there is NO ROOM for large BIG W air beds or camp stretchers
Musts are camp mat for insulation between sleeping bag and Tent floor, allow for this to be just bigger then own sleeping bag
